The chief guest of the welcome program was geologist Dr. Pradeep Poudel said, "College not only provides education to students, but also skills, behavior, conduct and discipline, and students need to learn by working hard." You should think that ''you are studying for yourself, not for someone else''. You cannot reach the right place by saying that you know everything. He said that success comes with hard work.

 Rapti Engineering College has entered its 15th year. It is not a matter of choice; it is also a matter of opportunity to study in this college. This college has been providing quality education and succeeded in sending 80 percent of the students produced from the college to employment, and also involve in other social work, Dr.Paudyal said.

 The special guest of the welcome program is Managing Director Dr. Bhimsen Giri said - 'Students studying computer engineering and other technical education should not be unemployed. They can find jobs according to their knowledge, skills and abilities. Positive thinking helps people to reach their goals.'

Madhusudan Vaidhaya, the guest speaker & director of the welcome program, said - 'Technical education opens the door to employment, so the demand for it is increasing. The demand for qualified and skilled manpower is very high in the market, so you should complete your studies within the stipulated time frame.

 In the welcome and orientation program for the newly arrived students of diploma and pre-diploma level, Dr. Shailendra Giri said -'The education system of Nepal, which started from Guru Aashram, Kuti and Kharipati, has reached the distance education, school education, online education and mobile education.'

 Similarly, he said, ``Discipline is important in student life, but self-discipline is more important than that. Students should follow personal discipline routine.'' Students need to develop knowledge, skills, behavior, attitudes requiring changing perception too, he said.

 Earlier, in the village, the skills of the hoe, spade, plow maker, Damai who sews clothes, bamboo wood worker, carpenter who works with wood, and shoemaker were to be dominated and discriminated. Today, all those professions have become respected and are embraced by all castes. The society is gradually going to understand the importance of technical education and its impact" -he said.

Dr. Giri said that the demand for technical manpower is not only in Nepal but also  in abroad. He said, "Manpower produced from Rapti Engineering College is serving in all the districts of Lumbini Province and most of the district of Nepal."

 Resham Giri, principal of Rapti Engineering College, said, 'this college is known as the best college in Lumbini province because it has succeeded in providing quality education and employing the produced manpower.' Likewise, the head of the college's civil department and academic coordinator Er. B.R Joshi, instructor Resham Bista, Pre-Diploma in Civil Engineering student Dhananjaya Bohara, Diploma in Computer Engineering student Anil Kumar Pun, Pre-Diploma in Survey Engineering student Pushpa Kamal B.K, Pre-Diploma in Electrical Engineering student Narendra Bhandari and others gave welcome and congratulatory remarks.

 This college has been successful in winning gold medal from Pokhara University towards BE Civil and BBA program. Recently this college received the Nepal Education Award 2022 in Dubai, UAE. More than 80 percent of the students produced by this college are successful in getting employment. In Rapti Engineering College, the programs of BE Civil, BCA, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Pre-diploma in Civil, Electrical and Survey Engineering  are in operation. This college was established in the year 2065.

 Welcome and Orientation Program was anchored and facilitated by Mr. Bishowbandhu Thapa. On this occasion, the students studying in the college presented different types of dances, poems, muktak, gazals and songs.
