The reception and orientation program has been completed on November 30, 2021(14 Mangsir 2078) at Rapti Engineering College. In the academic session 2078-079, the welcome and orientation program was completed for the students enrolled in Diploma in Computer Engineering, Pre-Diploma in Survey Engineering, Pre-Diploma in Civil Engineering and Pre-Diploma in Electrical Engineering under CTEVT.

The program was completed under the chairmanship of Rapti Engineering College Principal Resham Giri and honorable Member of Parliament of Lumbini Pradesh Dama Sharma as the chief guest. The Chief Guest Sharma said that Rapti Engineering College (REC) has played an important role in the transformation of society. Also, she said that Rapti Engineering College has been established as a model college of Lumbini Province and has created employment for hundreds of students and this quality technical education should be emphasized in the coming days.

Sushil Gautam, the special guest of the program, President of Sarvodya Library and former President of Nepal Journalist Federation, said that since the students' learning is continuous, the students themselves should learn what kind of education can gain employment and social prestige by assimilating them to fulfill their dreams. Emphasis was placed on what needs to be done. The managing director of the college, Dr. Bhimsen Giri, emphasized on how the various subjects learned by students can be converted into practical knowledge in an effective manner.

Khim Bahadur Nath, president of the Engineering Toll Development Association, urged the college to provide quality education to the students according to the market demand who came from different places to study technical education. Buddhi Pun, secretary of Mitranagar Toll Development Organization, said that since the establishment of the college, there has been an increase in various types of services and facilities at the local level, and that the various subjects learned by them can be converted into practical knowledge in an effective manner. Ram Kumar Chaudhary, president of Shakti Toll Development Association, thanked and congratulated the college for its success in producing technical skilled manpower in his own village. College director Madhusudan Baidya, trainer Er. Sharmila Dahit, Pre-Diploma in Survey Engineering student Geeta Giri, Pre-Diploma in Civil Engineering student Manoj Nakal and others gave congratulatory remarks.

Er Santosh Pandey-HoD DCOM started welcome speech and the program was facilitated by Chandamaya Batha Magar, a 2nd semester student of Diploma in Computer Engineering. On this occasion, the students studying in the college presented different types of dances, poems, muktakas, ghazals and songs.
