RESEARCH COMMITTEE

Research Committee (RC) is the decision-making body regarding the research policies and strategies to promote and monitor academic research activities in academic and research institutions running within REC. RC will be also responsible for coordinating with other research funding institutions. REC has formed a research Committee to oversee the research and innovation activities in the college as mentioned below:-

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF RESERCH COMMITTEE AT REC

i         Formulate the short-term and long-term strategies and action plans to promote research and innovation.

ii       Develop the operational procedures for the management of institutional research an innovation activities complying with the PURC rules and procedures.

iii      Develop and execute annual research and innovation plans and activities to engage faculty members, students, and the community.

iv       Monitor research and innovation activities (institutional, faculty, and student) within the institution.

v         Secure adequate funding to promote research and innovation.

vi       Explore opportunities to collaborate with national and international institutions to strengthen research and innovation activities.

vii     Collaborate with PURC and other relevant institutions for the shared resources and research facilities, grants, and expert exchange programs.

viii   Participate and support the institution in preparation of research and innovation strategies and dedicated annual fund.

ix     Disseminate  / Publish outputs of the institutional research and innovation activities to the targeted communities and/or to the general public at least once in a year.

x      Foster partnership with local, national, and international institutions for the functional collaboration to strengthen research and innovation.

xi    Prepare annual review report of the research and innovation activities conducted in the previous fiscal year along with the annual planning of the research and innovation activities for current fiscal year.

xii   Submit annual review and planning report to PURC by the end of the first month of the running fiscal year.

xiii  Follow and comply with the decisions, directives, and guidelines of PURC and Pokhara University.
