2 February, 2023, Dang. Rapti Engineering College has completed the welcome and orientation program for the new students of 2022 Fall intake. A welcome and orientation program was organized by the students studying in the second semester of BE Civil  for the students studying in first semester (12th batch) of BE Civil program at REC. Speaking at the welcome and orientation program, the chief guest, Deputy Chief of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis, Huma D.C said that college has an important role in the development of technical education in the country. The chief guest, D.C, said that since the demand for technical education is increasing in recent times, the government alone cannot meet its demand, and he also urged the private sector to increase investment in technical education. Appreciating the management done by the students and the management of the college, he said that the college has played an important role in the technical development of the local, states and the nation as a whole. He urged everyone to acquire good education and take responsibility for the development of the country as the need for technical education is even greater in the current situation. He urged the newly arrived students to establish themselves as a capable, skilled manpower and start developing the country by eliminating various types of irregularities / defects in Nepal. Rapti Engineering College Management Committee Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Bhimsen Giri remembered that the dream of technical education that he had seen fifteen years ago with the belief that technical education can be given to the students of the lower and middle class communities from Rapti Engineering College in Dang has now come true. Dr. Giri who also presided over the program said that they are committed to develop a research-based education system. He said that 'our products have spread all over the country, most of the technical manpower of Lumbini province working in government and non-government organizations are our products'. Sharad Adhikari, member of the Press Council Nepal, said that with the beginning of positive thinking, the college was run with the help of everyone while the people were conducting every work. He said that success can be achieved only if everyone understands their responsibilities and duties. In the current situation, he asked everyone to study hard and diligently, as technical education can get you a job quickly. In the program, the director of the college, Madhusudan Baidya, urged students to acquire education with discipline and dedication, as education is very necessary for nation building. All the students said that students should always be ready to work for their parent’s dreams to make true. He urged the students to become skillful by saying that the students of Rapti Engineering College can make an important contribution. 

Academic Coordinator and Head of Civil Department Er. B.R. Joshi said that since there are various types of policies and rules in the operation of the college, the destination can be reached only if the rules provided by the college are used and followed correctly. Lecturer of Rapti Engineering College Dr. Khemraj Malla advised to be patient and thoughtful while carrying out any work. He said that as mathematics is a foundation in engineering, engineering education will help in the overall development of students.  Rapti Engineering College Lecturer E. Projwol Acharya gave training about the field and importance of engineering education. On that occasion, he suggested students to act only by having information about the subject while conducting any work.

The program started with a welcome speech by the Principal of Rapti Engineering College, Resham Giri, and was anchored by Ronisha Khadka and Rajeshwar Nepali, who are studying in the second semester of BE Civil. In the program, students presented various cultural programs, gazals, muktak. In the two-day orientation training, Dr. Bhimsen Giri, Principal Resham Giri, Director Madhusudan Baidya, Er. B.R Joshi, yoga instructor Rabindra Basnet, Er. Ramdhan Shrestha were present and has given training on the occasion.
