Ghorahi, Dang. In the 3rd District Level Quiz Competition held at Rapti Engineering College in Ghorahi-16, Dang, the students of Rosy Buds Lamahi have won the first place.
In the 3rd District Level Quiz Competition organized by REC in the college premises on Friday, students Rishikesh Chaudhary, Sahil Chaudhary and student Swikriti Bhusal of Rosy Buds, who got 220 marks and became the first.
Similarly, in the competition, Pitambar Yadav, Ayush Pokhrel and student Angelina Dangi of Dang Valley College secured the second position by securing 200 marks, while Vishal Adhikari, Niraj Sharma and student Upasana Aale of Gorkha School Lamahi secured the third position by securing 190 marks.
In the same competition, Gorkha Tulshipur students Rizon Basnet, Shivraj Oli and student Aprena KC scored 180 marks and secured the consolation position.
Cash, medals and certificates were distributed to the school students who won the first, second, third and consolation positions in the competition respectively.
Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan Social Development Division Head Binod Gautam, Chief Guest of the program, thanked Rapti Engineering College for organizing 3rd district level quiz competition and expressed his congratulations and best wishes to the students who participated in the competition.
In the program, Basant Raj Adhikari, teacher of Adarsh Ma.Vi. Deupur, Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, science coordinator of Gorkha School Tulsipur, Chandra Bahadur KC, science coordinator of Guru Jajur Ma.Vi Tulsipur, Thamman Basnet, science subject teacher of Gorkha School Ghorahi expressed their congratulations and said that Rapti Engineering College played a big role in engineering education in Dang. He said that the district-level quiz contest programme organized by this college has given more smiles to the students and such competitions will enhance the intellectual knowledge of the students along with the enhancement of their external abilities.
Gorkha School Ghorahi, Janjyoti Vidyamandir Ghorahi, Gurukul Academy Ghorahi, Gorkha School Tulsipur, Himal Academy Tulsipur, Gorkha School Lamhi, Dang Valley College Ghorahi, Rosy Birds School Lamahi, Padmodaya Public Sample Ma.Vi Ghorahi, Public Janjyoti Tulsipur, Ma.Vi Razhena Ghorahi, was participated in the quiz competition. Students from 15 schools including Adarsh School Deupur, Siddharthnath School Narayanpur, Siddharth Academy Ghorahi and Guru Jajur Ma.Vi Tulsipur were also participated in the program.
The college has been continuously organizing the district level quiz competition for the past three years. The students of the college presented various dances to make the program more manageable, attractive and beautiful.
Chairman of the management committee of the college Dr. Bhimsen Giri chaired the program and hosted by Binod Gautam, Head of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan Social Development Division. College Principal Resham Giri, principals and representatives of colleges and schools in the district and students participated in the program.
The program started with a welcome speech by the director of the college, Madhusudhan Vaidhya, and was facilitated by the head of the IT department of the college, Vishow Bandhu Thapa.
