Ghorahi Rapti Engineering College's 15th anniversary and prize distribution program has been completed in Dang's Ghorahi-16.
The college organized a program on Friday and completed the annual festival and prize distribution program.
College Management Committee Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Bhimsen Giri chaired the program and Inaugurating the program by Chief Guest & Associate Professor Tulsi Ram Bhandari, Controller of Examinations of Pokhara University, said that the time spent in college is a milestone for every student. Associate Professor Bhandari stressed that extracurricular activities is also important in educational institutions, now the examination schedule has been announced , students should pay special attention to their studies by making outer activities as minimum as possible.
Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city spokesperson Rammani Pandey, who was the special guest of the program, said that this college played an important role in the field of information and technology development. Emphasizing that this educational institution has made a special contribution to the country by producing professional and skilled manpower needed by the society and the nation, he said that in order to change the society and the country, we should engage in action rather than speech.
The principal of the college, Resham Giri, said that the college, which was established in 2065, has been providing excellent technical education in Lumbini province. He said that the college is producing technical manpower which is needed by the country and has given special emphasis on quality education to the students studying in the college.
Principal Giri said that the college is advancing all its activities to make Dang a hub of engineering sector and the manpower produced by the college is getting employment easily in the national and international market.
Sabin Priyasan, a local intellectual and parent said that this college is a beautiful jewel of Ghorahi. He expressed his wishes for further educational progress and success by saying that this college has produced technically skilled manpower and made it compete in the country and abroad. Keeping a different opinion in the program, the parent Sabin said that today there is a big fire of disappointment in the Nepalese society and emphasized that the students should pay serious attention providing coldness to the current anger and disappointment.
Sabin Priyasan, the former president of the Dang branch of the Nepal Journalist Federation and the coordinator of the campaign to make Ghorahi, said that this college has been established as a model college within a short period of its establishment. He emphasized that the engineering field has an important role for the development and prosperity of the country. He said that the society of engineering field should be able to do all the work and requested to plan how to make Ghorahi better before and after the college time.
