International Conference on Applied Science and Engineering

On the 28th of Jestha, 2081, an international conference was successfully held in Pokhara, organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology of Pokhara University, in collaboration with the University Grants Commission and the School of Engineering, and co-organized by Rapti Engineering College, Ghorahi, Dang. The conference, named “International Conference on Applied Science and Engineering in a Changing World,” was inaugurated by senior ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit and Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University Prof. Dr. Premnarayan Aryal, who jointly lit the traditional lamp.

At the conference, 120 participants from various educational institutions from 12 countries, including Nepal, presented conference papers. The event saw the participation of more than 300 professors, students, and researchers. Keynote speakers included Dr. Amodmani Dixit, President of the Earthquake Technology Society Nepal and Chairman of the Management Committee of Universal Engineering and Science College affiliated with Pokhara University, Korean professor Dr. Kyung Chun Kim, Japanese professor Dr. Yoshimitsu Nakajima, and Professor Dr. Tekraj Gyawali.

From Rapti Engineering College, Executive Director Dr. Shailendra Giri presented a research paper on "The Crucial Role of AI in ICT Leadership Development for Enhanced E-Governance,"Executive Director Dr. Shailendra Giri and Principal Resham Giri presented on "How AI Shapes Cyber Security in Telecommunication," Prof. Dr. Govinda Prasad Lamichhane and Wellson Giri presented on "Nepal's Remarkable Journey in Hydropower Development," and Professor Engineer Prajwal Acharya presented a paper on "Analytical Study of Spider Web-Inspired Cable Net Structures under Dynamic Loads." Students from the college, Bibek Sunar and Raju Giri, presented a poster on "Delay in Construction of Ghorahi-Tulsipur 4 Line Road and Its Consequences."

A total of 17 faculty members( Executive Director Dr. Shailendra Giri, Principal Resham Giri, Academic coordinator Er. BabuRam Joshi, HOD IT Bishowbandhu Thapa, Lecturer Prajwal Acharya, Karna Bahadur Pun and Wellson Giri) and students(Raju Giri, Bibek Sunar, Aashish KC, Gopendra Yadav, Ramesh Sharma, Sanjay Chaudhary, Tapendra GC, Shakti Singh Rokaya, Sushant Pandey and Abhishek Tiwari) from the college attended the conference.
