
District-Level Quiz Competition Successfully Held
at Raptī Engineering College
Ghorahi, Dang | February 18, 2025 — The
Fourth District-Level Quiz Competition 2081 was successfully conducted at Raptī
Engineering College, Ghorahi-16, Dang, on 5th Falgun 2081 (Sunday). The event
welcomed participation from Class 12 students of both Science and Management
streams, marking the first time the competition included students beyond the
Science faculty.
A total of 27 institutions—15 from the Management stream and 12 from the Science stream—took part in the competition, which aimed to assess and enhance the academic and intellectual abilities of students across the district.

Management Stream Results:

Place: Deepshikha Secondary Boarding School (Ridhim
Ghimire, Bhishan Yudha Khatri, Bishwo Acharya, Smriti Wali)
- Second
Place: Rozy Buds College, Lamahi (Mahima Chaudhary,
Sandip Khadka, Subash Neupane, Subiksha Chaudhary)
- Third
Place: Gurukul Academy, Ghorahi (Binita Thapa,
Subiksha Acharya, Sushant Rawat, Ashish Biskarma)
- Consolation:
Madhyamik School, Rajhenama (Laxman Bhandari, Nabin Budha Magar, Riya
Punmagar, Prakriti Pun)
Winners received cash prizes, medals, and
certificates, while all participating schools were awarded certificates and
tokens of appreciation. In a special announcement, the college offered
scholarships to winning teams—ranging from 80% for first place to 30% for
consolation prize winners—toward further education in technical or management
fields at the institution. All participants are eligible for a 25% scholarship.
Chief Guest Narayan Prasad Paudel, Head of
the Education, Sports, and Youth Division at Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City,
applauded Raptī Engineering College for hosting the event. He emphasized the
importance of such competitions in nurturing intellectual skills and motivating
students.
Shailendra Giri, Executive Director of the
college, noted the institution's commitment to quality technical education
since its establishment in 2065 BS and highlighted the quiz competition’s role
in evaluating student potential.
Bhimsen Giri, Managing Director, expressed appreciation
to all participating schools and reiterated the college's aim to promote
learning through innovative and competitive platforms.
The event was chaired by Program Coordinator
Madhusudan Vaidya, with a welcome address by Principal Resham Giri,
and facilitation by Engineer Sushil Acharya. Principals, faculty, and
representatives from participating schools also attended the well-organized
program.
