
Panel Discussion on
"Soft Skills: Body Language in Public Speaking" Held By BBA 2nd
Semester within the premises of Rapti Engineering College
Ghorahi 16 , Saniambapur Dang – 21 May 2025 - BBA second semester student successfully organized an engaging and insightful panel discussion program on the topic "Soft Skills: Body Language in Public Speaking". The program was graced by the presence of Managing Director of Rapti engineering college Dr. Bhimsen Giri, Principal, Resham Giri, BBA HOD, Srijana Devkota, BE-Computer HOD Sharmila Dhait, lecturer Thaman Basnet and all the students from BCA and Be- computer. The event showcased the knowledge, confidence, and communication skills of BBA second semester students through structured dialogue and expert commentary.
The program
featured two dynamic panel discussion sessions, each led by a dedicated group
of student participants. The Discussion spread over 3 distinct round ( General round,
Early Bird round and Audience round).
The first
session centred around the theme of public
speaking. This group was skilfully moderated by Saubhagya Chaudhary,
with Kritika Mahara, Nisha Nepali, Samit Chaudhary, Sameer Khadka and Srijana
Chaudhary serving as the panelists. Their discussion explored various
dimensions of public speaking including clarity, confidence, and overcoming
stage fear. Nepal Baidhya took the role of rapporteur, efficiently summarizing
the key points discussed and provide the insightful feedback to the panelists.
At the conclusion of the first session, Dr. Bhimsen Giri, Managing Director of Rapti Engineering College, shared his reflections on the discussion. He expressed immense satisfaction and pride in the students’ performance, level of preparation and articulation demonstrated by the panelists.
Following the
success of the first session, the second group took the stage with a
continued focus on the core theme, especially emphasizing body language in
public speaking. Pravin Chaudhary moderated this session, while Srijana
Kumari Chaudhary, Kumkum Gupta, Devika Kumari Budha, and Aarju Kc participated
as panelists. Himal Raj Jaisi acted as the rapporteur for this group,
providing a comprehensive wrap-up of their key insights.
The program was concluded
by the respected lecturer Mr. Thamman Basnet, who lauded the students for
their impressive performances. He also offered constructive feedback,
highlighting the critical importance of non-verbal communication and body
language in effective public speaking. His remarks served as a valuable
learning opportunity for all attendees.
